ICAR-IARI Senior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in Interview for 3 Posts

Essential Qualifications: Master's degree in Genetics, Plant Breeding, Genetics & Plant Breeding, or Biotechnology with a 4 or 5-year Bachelor's degree. Candidates holding a 3-year Bachelor's degree must possess UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent, or a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.

Desirable Experience: Hands-on research experience in Brassica breeding, hybrid crop breeding, molecular marker-assisted breeding, plant biotechnology, and statistical bioinformatics software.

Maximum age limit is 35 years for male candidates as on the date of walk-in interview (10-09-2026). Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and women candidates (up to 40 years) and 3 years for OBC candidates (up to 38 years).

Eligible candidates are invited to attend a walk-in interview. Applicants must bring the following documents for verification at the time of the interview:

• Duly filled and signed application form (as per the format annexed in the notification).
• Original copies of educational certificates (matriculation onwards).
• Date of birth certificate.
• NET/equivalent certificate.
• Degree certificate (original or provisional).
• One set of self-attested photocopies of all required certificates.
• An attested copy of a recent passport-size photograph pasted on the application form.
• Proof of experience and publications, if applicable.
