Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification: B.Tech / M.E. / M.Tech in Petroleum Engineering / Chemical Engineering OR M.Sc. in Chemistry.
• Mandatory National Eligibility: Candidate must be GATE or CSIR/UGC-NET qualified.
• Desirable Qualification: For Petroleum Engineering, experience/knowledge in Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and reservoir simulation. For Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, knowledge of basic chemistry of salts, surfactants, and polymers is desirable.

Age Limit & Relaxations

The upper age limit is 28 years at the time of appointment. Relaxation in upper age limit is admissible to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and Female candidates as per Government of India (GOI) / DST rules.

IIT (ISM) Dhanbad is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will work in the Department of Petroleum Engineering under Dr. Neetish Kumar Maurya on an ANRF-sponsored project focusing on formate-based chemical slug design for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) and carbon storage in Cambay Basin oil fields.
