Educational Qualification

Member - Psychiatrist (Kannur): Must be a Psychiatrist as defined under Section 2(1)(y) of the Mental Healthcare Act 2017, possessing a recognized Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Psychiatry and registered with State/National Medical Council.
Member - Medical Practitioner (Kozhikode): Must be a registered Medical Practitioner as defined under Section 2(1)(n) of the Mental Healthcare Act 2017 possessing MBBS/recognized medical qualification and clinical experience in mental health.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Candidate must not have attained 70 years of age. Tenure of office is 5 years or up to the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.

Pay Scale & Monthly Remuneration

Honorarium payable as per G.O.(Rt) No. 2188/2023/H&FWD dated 24.08.2023: (i) Serving Government Psychiatrist/Medical Practitioner: ₹2,000/- per month; (ii) Retired Government Psychiatrist/Medical Practitioner: Up to ₹50,000/- per month (Last pay minus pension before commutation, excluding DA/HRA); (iii) Non-government nominee: ₹1,000/- per sitting plus TA.

Statutory honorarium per G.O.(Rt) No. 2188/2023/H&FWD: ₹2,000/month for serving govt doctors; up to ₹50,000/month for retired govt doctors; ₹1,000 per sitting plus TA for non-government nominees.
