Educational Qualification

Qualifications under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme:

  • PhD Fellow (1 Post): Master's Degree in Electronics Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Instrumentation, Biophysics, or Engineering in ECE, ETC, CSE, Data, or AI. Desirable: Strong background in machine learning, deep neural networks, data analytics, research publication comprehension, and GATE/NET/M.Phil. qualification. Tenure: 5 years or until Ph.D. completion.
  • Post-Doctoral Fellow (1 Post): Ph.D. degree awarded within the past 5 years from a recognized University in Electronics Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Instrumentation, Biophysics, or Engineering in ECE/ETC/CSE/Data/AI with First Class throughout. Candidates must be Indian citizens under 40 years of age and must not have completed their Ph.D. at Goa University. Research proposal focusing on EEG data analysis, data communication, Natural Language Processing (NLP), or embedded instrumentation is preferred. Tenure: 1 year.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is up to 40 years for Post-Doctoral Fellow on the date of application submission. Age relaxation for reserved categories is admissible as per Government of India guidelines.

Fellows will work under Principal Investigator Prof. Joyti D. Pawar in the Department of Electronics at Goa University on the MeitY-funded Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme.
