RARI Gangtok Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in for Consultant (Ayurveda) Post

The Consultant (Ayurveda) is stationed at the Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI) in Tadong, Gangtok, Sikkim, an apex peripheral research institute under the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of Ayush. The institute spearheads clinical research, specialized OPD/IPD healthcare services, clinical documentation of Himalayan medicinal plants, and tribal healthcare research programs across the Eastern Himalayas. Daily duties include conducting clinical examinations of patients at the RARI OPD, administering specialized Ayurvedic therapeutic interventions (Ksharasutra in anorectal disorders, Agnikarma in musculoskeletal disorders, and classical Panchakarma therapies like Vamana, Virechana, Basti, and Shirodhara), maintaining NABH hospital accreditation documentation, coordinating clinical trial protocols, monitoring drug efficacy, and drafting technical and scientific research papers. Work follows regular central government institute timings (09:30 AM to 05:00 PM).

Stationed at Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Tadong, Gangtok, Sikkim – 737102. The appointment is on a contractual basis initially for a period of six (06) months, extendable or curtailable at the discretion of the competent authority based on performance review and project requirements. Entitled to 12 days proportionate leave per calendar year.

Paid a fixed consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹50,000/- per month. While the engagement is contractual and does not confer any entitlement for permanent absorption into the regular CCRAS cadre, working as an Ayurvedic Clinical Consultant in a premier central research institute under the Ministry of Ayush provides distinguished clinical, clinical trial, and NABH accreditation credentials for regular selection as Research Officer / Medical Officer (Ayurveda) in CCRAS, UPSC, and state AYUSH departments.
