Educational Qualification

Candidates must fulfill the following mandatory qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Passed Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Community Science, Veterinary Science, Sericulture, Science, or relevant discipline.
  • Master's Degree: Minimum 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA of 3.00 on 4-point scale or 7.00 on 10-point scale) in the concerned subject from an Indian or recognized foreign university.
  • National Eligibility Test (NET): Qualified ICAR/UGC/CSIR NET. NET is waived for candidates holding Ph.D. under UGC 2009 Regulations with at least 2 publications having NAAS rating ≥ 5 (NET not mandatory for Agricultural Engineering).
  • API Benchmark: Minimum PBAS score of 44 out of 80 (for General) and 40 out of 80 (for SC/ST) required to be called for interview.
  • Domicile Mandate: Only permanent residents of Assam (holding PRC) are eligible to apply as per university regulations.
