Educational Qualification

Specialists (Full Time / Part Time): MBBS with PG Degree/DNB (with 3 years post-PG experience) OR PG Diploma (with 5 years post-PG experience) in the concerned specialty. Registered with NMC/MCI/State Medical Council. For Dental: BDS with MDS in Endodontics.
Senior Residents: MBBS with PG Degree / Diploma / DNB in concerned specialty registered with NMC/SMC. If non-PG doctors are considered: MBBS with 2 years hospital experience (1 year in specialty).
Ayurveda / Homeopathy Physicians: BAMS / BHMS degree with state/central council registration. PG holders preferred.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Maximum age limit: Full Time / Part Time Specialist: Not to exceed 67 years; Senior Resident: Not to exceed 45 years; Ayurveda / Homeopathy Physician: Not to exceed 35 years as on date of interview. Standard age relaxations for SC/ST (5 yrs), OBC-NCL (3 yrs), and PwD/Ex-servicemen apply.

Selection will be made on the basis of performance in a Walk-in Interview on 12 and 13 October 2026 at Conference Room, 2nd Floor, ESIC Hospital, Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow. Reporting and document verification will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Selection is based on clinical acumen, PG qualifications, and interview performance before the Medical Selection Board. Candidates reporting after 1:00 PM will not be permitted. No TA/DA is admissible.

ESIC Hospital, Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow is a busy secondary/tertiary social security healthcare facility serving insured workers and their families across Uttar Pradesh. Specialists and Senior Residents manage heavy OPD inflows, inpatient rounds, emergency night shifts, and specialty surgeries (Anesthesia, General Medicine, Ob-Gyn, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Surgery, ICU). Full-Time Specialists are on call 24x7 with strict prohibition of private practice. Senior Residents work under residency scheme rotation. Part-Time Specialists fulfill a minimum of 16 hours/week (4 days x 4 hours). Selected doctors experience rich clinical exposure across acute occupational pathologies and diverse demographic disease burdens.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Initial posting criteria, zone preferences, transfer liability.

Contractual engagement for 1 year initially, extendable up to 3 years for Senior Residents (subject to annual performance review and hospital requirements). For Specialists, tenure is 1 year or until a regular specialist joins, whichever is earlier.
