Essential Qualifications: Postgraduate Medical Degree (MD / MS / MDS / DNB / M.Ch / DM) or equivalent in the concerned clinical/surgical specialty recognized by NMC/MCI or State Medical Council, with valid medical council registration.
Tenure Bar: Candidates who have already completed 3 years of Senior Residency under the Central Residency Scheme in any central, state, or autonomous medical institution are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 45 years as on 05.10.2026 for Senior Residents & CMO (General Medicine). Age relaxations apply: 5 years for SC candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, 10 years for widows/deserted/judicially separated women who are not remarried, and relaxations for government servants as per Chandigarh Administration rules.
