Madras University Officers Recruitment 2026

1. Controller of Examinations: Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks and minimum 15 years of teaching/research experience (including 8 years as Reader / Associate Professor in Pay Level 13A) with educational administration experience; OR 15 years of administrative experience (including 8 years as Deputy Registrar or equivalent). Ph.D. is desirable. Age ≤ 55 years.

2. Professor cum Director (CDOE): Ph.D. with minimum 10 peer-reviewed research publications, research score ≥ 120 (UGC Table 2), and at least 10 years of teaching/research experience as Assistant/Associate/Professor with doctoral guidance track record. Age ≤ 57 years.

3. Dean (College Development Council): Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST), Ph.D., and at least 15 years of teaching/research experience, including at least 2 years as Head of Department or Principal of a recognized college. Age ≤ 55 years.

Upper age limit as on 16.10.2026: 55 years for Controller of Examinations and Dean-CDC; 57 years for Professor cum Director, CDOE.

1. Download the official application form, coding sheet, and Appendix-II Table 2 from the University website: http://www.unom.ac.in.
2. Obtain a Demand Draft for ₹500/- (₹250/- for SC/SC-A/ST/DAP candidates) drawn in favor of “The Registrar, University of Madras”, payable at Chennai.
3. Fill out the prescribed application form and prepare 8 complete sets of the application with self-attested photocopies of all supporting enclosures:
   • Proof of age (attested copy of first page of SSLC Book).
   • Academic qualification certificates and degrees (UG, PG, M.Phil., Ph.D.).
   • Teaching, research, and educational administration experience certificates (with Form 16 / ITR).
   • Reprints of publications and Appendix-II Table 2 research score documentation.
   • Community certificate (for fee concession/reservation).
   • Names and contact details of two academic referees.
4. In-service candidates must route their application through proper channel (advance copies may be sent).
5. Send the completed application packet in an envelope superscribed “Application for the post of [Name of Post]” to:
