The selection will be conducted through a direct walk-in evaluation on 09th October, 2026 from 11:00 AM onwards at the Conference Room, Academic Block, IIIT Bhagalpur:
1. Verification: Scrutiny of academic transcripts (B.Tech/M.Tech with 65%+ marks), GATE scorecards, and research credentials.
2. Technical Interview: Assessment of core domain competence in quantum technologies, VLSI design, quantum circuits, and programming simulation tools by the selection committee (conducted in hybrid online/offline mode).

IIIT Bhagalpur is an Institute of National Importance established by the Ministry of Education. The JRF role is part of India's flagship National Quantum Mission (NQM) funded by the Department of Science & Technology (DST). The fellow will directly contribute to establishing undergraduate teaching laboratories in quantum technologies, developing quantum computing and quantum communication experimental modules, and mentoring students. Work is multidisciplinary across ECE, CSE, and applied physics with strong experimental and simulation focus under Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Sinha.

Stationed at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, IIIT Bhagalpur campus, Bhagalpur, Bihar. The appointment is initially for one year and is extendable up to a total of five years based on annual performance reviews. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the DST project.
