Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. / MD / MS / MDS in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Public Health, Statistics, Epidemiology, or Health Sciences; OR a Post-Graduate Degree (MVSc / M.Pharm / ME / M.Tech / MPH / M.Sc in Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Statistics, or Health Economics) with a minimum of 3 years of research, teaching, or developmental experience and at least one research publication in an SCI indexed journal; OR a Pharm.D with 3 years of relevant experience. Desirable: Experience in conducting and publishing Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (SRMA) with PubMed/MEDLINE indexed papers.

Age Limit & Relaxations

The upper age limit is 40 years as on the last date of application submission (15th October 2026). Age relaxation is admissible for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India guidelines.

Stationed at the SMART CENTRE (Skill-centre for Meta-Analysis Research & Training) under the Department of Orthopaedics, AIIMS Deoghar, Jharkhand. The position involves high-level evidence synthesis, conducting systematic reviews and meta-analyses (SRMA), literature search strategies using PICO frameworks, risk-of-bias assessments, biostatistical analysis, and GRADE methodology. Collaborating directly with medical faculty and the Department of Health Research (DHR) Technical Resource Centre provides stellar academic visibility and high-impact medical research output.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Initial posting criteria, zone preferences, transfer liability.

Contractual for an initial period of 12 months, extendable for a maximum of one additional year based on six-monthly performance appraisals or until completion of the DHR project. Position is purely temporary and does not confer any right to regular absorption in AIIMS Deoghar.
