Part Time Correspondents serve as the grassroots reporting backbone of Akashvani's Regional News Unit (RNU) Jalandhar. Correspondents cover district administration meetings, crime, agriculture, cultural events, and central/state welfare schemes. The role requires filing fast, objective audio reports and text dispatches using mobile recording tools during news breaks. Work operates on-call from the reporter's home district.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Initial posting criteria, zone preferences, transfer liability.

Engagement is initially on a 3-month trial basis during which performance is closely evaluated.
