Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degree in Food Technology/Engineering, Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, Oil Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, or Medicine (MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BSMS). In addition, candidates must have studied Hindi or Sanskrit as a subject in Matriculation or Higher Education. Selected candidates will undergo mandatory training specified by FSSAI after appointment.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 42 years as on the closing date (19.10.2026). Upper age relaxation: 5 years for SC/BC-A/BC-B of Haryana, Unmarried/Divorced/Widowed women of Haryana; up to 10 years for PwBD candidates of Haryana (subject to maximum age of 52 years).

The recruitment process follows a multi-tier framework: (1) An OMR-based Screening Test consisting of 100 objective questions (80% core subject, 20% general studies/Haryana GK) to shortlist candidates at a ratio of 4 times the vacancies; (2) A descriptive Subject Knowledge Test of 150 marks (3 hours, minimum 35% qualifying threshold) carrying 87.5% weightage in final merit calculation; (3) An Interview/Viva-Voce carrying 12.5% weightage. Final merit ranking is computed strictly on combined scores of the Subject Knowledge Test and Interview.
