Educational Qualification

Post-wise minimum eligibility criteria:
• Project Assistant-II: B.Sc. or 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology.
• Project Associate-I: Master’s / Integrated Master’s in Natural, Life, Agricultural, or Pharmaceutical Sciences / MVSc / Animal Sciences, OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine.
• Project Associate-II: Master’s degree in relevant science disciplines or Bachelor’s in Engg/Tech/Medicine PLUS 2 years’ Research & Development (R&D) experience.
• Senior Project Associate: Master’s in Science / B.Tech / MBBS with 3 years’ R&D experience, OR M.Tech / ME, OR Ph.D. / MD / MS in Science / Pharma.
Note: Candidates appearing in final semester or awaiting results are not eligible.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Maximum age limit is 35 years for Project Assistant-II, Project Associate-I, and Project Associate-II; and 40 years for Senior Project Associate as on 03.11.2026. Upper age relaxation of 5 years is admissible for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates as per CSIR rules.

Pay Scale & Monthly Remuneration

• Project Assistant-II: ₹20,000/- p.m. + HRA.
• Project Associate-I: ₹31,000/- p.m. + HRA (for NET/GATE qualified); ₹25,000/- p.m. + HRA (others).
• Project Associate-II: ₹35,000/- p.m. + HRA (for NET/GATE qualified); ₹28,000/- p.m. + HRA (others).
