CSIR Madras Complex Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for Security Assistant Post

• Essential Qualifications & Experience: Ex-servicemen, Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Indian Army or equivalent rank in Navy / Air Force / Paramilitary Forces with at least five (05) years' documented experience in security work.
• Desirable Qualifications: Good verbal communication skills in Hindi & English, written communication skills, knowledge of computer applications, modern firefighting systems, and electronic security monitoring / CCTV systems.
• Pay Scale & Emoluments: Pay Level-6 (Cell-1, Initial Basic Pay ₹35,400/- per month), gross emoluments approximately ₹62,400/- per month stationed at Chennai as per 7th CPC. Rent-free accommodation is provided inside CSIR Madras Complex Campus (incumbent resides in Security Assistant Residence-cum-Office; HRA is not admissible).
• Physical Fitness: Height: min 167 cms (Male), 157 cms (Female); Chest: 80-85 cms (Male). Relaxations for Hill Areas and ST candidates as per GOI norms.

Upper age limit is 28 years as on the online application deadline (16-09-2026). Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen is applicable as per Government of India orders. Widows, divorced women, and judicially separated women are eligible up to 35 years.

Eligible Indian Nationals must follow a two-step application process:

1. Online Application:
   • Visit the CSIR Madras Complex website: http://www.csircmc.res.in.
   • The online application portal will be active from 09:00 A.M. on 2026-08-17 to 05:00 P.M. on 2026-09-16.
   • Candidates without a valid email ID must create one before applying.
   • Register with your name and email ID, then log in to fill the electronic application form.
   • Remit the application fee (if applicable) through SBI Collect by 05:00 P.M. on 2026-09-16.
   • Verify and edit all application details before final submission, as no modifications are allowed post-submission. Save or print the application.
2. Hardcopy Submission:
   • After submitting the online application, take a printout of the system-generated application form.
   • Sign the printed application and affix a recent passport-size, self-signed photograph.
   • Attach self-attested copies of the following documents: Date of Birth Certificate, Educational Qualification Certificates, Experience Certificates, Community Certificate (if applicable), EWS Certificate (if applicable), and proof for remittance of application fee (E-receipt/Transaction reference).
   • For candidates claiming age concession, relevant certificates (Departmental candidates, retired/released armed forces personnel, widows/divorced women) must be attached.
   • Regular employees in CSIR/Government organizations must upload a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC) at the time of online application and send a copy with the hardcopy.
   • Enclose all documents in an envelope superscribed "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF SECURITY ASSISTANT (POST CODE: SA01)".
