Educational Qualification

Essential: M.Sc. in any discipline of Life Sciences (such as Agricultural Biotechnology, Biotechnology, Botany, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Life Sciences) with valid ICAR / UGC / CSIR NET qualification.
Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications (Ph.D.) and prior research experience in agro-biodiversity, molecular genetics, or plant biotechnology.

The role is situated in the Department of Agricultural Biotechnology at CSKHPKV Palampur under the supervision of Dr. R. K. Chahota (Principal Investigator). The fellow works on the Bioversity International project focused on agro-biodiversity conservation, molecular genotyping of crop germplasm, field evaluation of climate resilience traits, DNA extraction, PCR screening, and compilation of annual project progress reports.
