Educational Qualification

Essential: M.Sc. in Physiology, Zoology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or an undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in any branch of Life Sciences with a good academic record from a recognized university or institute as per norms.
Desirable: Qualified in CSIR/UGC-NET or GATE. Prior hands-on experience and strong knowledge in animal physiology, disease models, cell biology, and animal cell culture, along with good scientific writing and communication skills.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 50 years as per ANRF OM No. ANRF/OM/N-01/2024 and DST norms for Project Assistant positions. Age relaxation for reserved categories is admissible as per Government of India rules.

Selection will be carried out by a duly constituted Selection Committee through initial screening of submitted applications based on academic merit, research background, and NET/GATE qualification. The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ), established in 2009 in Bandarsindri, Kishangarh (Ajmer district), is an accredited central university holding UGC Category-I status and NIRF rank 89. The selected Project Assistant will be deployed in the Department of Biochemistry under Dr. Joydeep Aoun on an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded project entitled 'PtdSer Scramblase TMEM16F or ANO6: an emerging player in salivary gland physiology and potential therapeutic target in xerostomia'. The laboratory environment focuses on cutting-edge electrophysiology, lipid regulation of membrane transport, cell signaling crosstalk, and disease models. Campus life offers research facilities and subject-to-availability university hostel accommodation.
