Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree or a 3-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology from a recognized board or university. Candidates with prior laboratory experience in cell culture, immunological assays, adjuvant chemistry/formulations, and laboratory animal handling (mice or goats) with blood collection will be preferred. NET or GATE qualification is not required.

BRIC-National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) in Gachibowli, Hyderabad is an autonomous research institution under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology. Technical Assistants work directly within advanced biosafety and animal research facilities. Core duties entail cell culture maintenance, immunological assay execution (ELISA, Western blot, flow cytometry), adjuvant chemistry formulation, and routine laboratory animal handling (mice and goats) including blood collection under institutional bio-ethics protocols.
