Educational Qualification

Essential Qualifications: Postgraduate degree in any field of Life Sciences (including Integrated PG degrees), OR a 4-year graduate degree in Engineering in any field of Life Sciences (e.g., B.Tech in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics).

Desirable Experience: Practical experience in molecular biology and infectious disease biology techniques, including laboratory mouse handling. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable experience in yeast genetics and working inside Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) containment facilities.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 35 years as on the application closing date (05-10-2026). Age relaxation applies to SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates per Government of India guidelines.

The primary posting location is the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) campus in Hyderabad, Telangana. The appointment is strictly contractual for an initial tenure of one year, extendable on an annual performance review basis and co-terminus with the duration of the ICMR-funded research grant. There is no provision for cadre transfer or permanent absorption into regular NIAB/ICMR establishment.
