Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Master's or BS-MS degree in Physics or Mathematics, OR a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology (B.E./B.Tech) with at least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) from a recognized University or Institution.
Post 1 (Job ID: IIA/11/2026-27/01): Basic knowledge of amateur astronomy, fluency in written and spoken Kannada, and experience in science/astronomy communication in non-urban settings.
Post 2 (Job ID: IIA/11/2026-27/02): Basic knowledge of astronomy and physics, aptitude in developing science demonstrations and low-cost astronomy kits, and familiarity with electronics, optics, CAD, or 3D printing.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Maximum age limit is 35 years as on the date of Walk-in Interview (06.10.2026). Age relaxation is admissible to SC/ST/OBC (NCL) and PwBD candidates as per Government of India guidelines.
