ICAR-IARI Recruitment 2026 – Apply for SRF & Young Professional-II Posts in Vegetable Science

• Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - 01 Post: Master's degree in Vegetable Science / Genetics / Plant Breeding / Genetics and Plant Breeding / Biotechnology with 4 or 5 years bachelor's degree. Candidates with 3-year bachelor's degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline. Desirable: Experience in vegetable breeding, molecular breeding, biotechnology, and computer applications. Remuneration: ₹37,000/- + HRA (1st & 2nd yr) and ₹42,000/- + HRA (3rd yr). Age: Max 35 years.
• Young Professional-II (YP-II) - 01 Post: Postgraduate degree in Vegetable Science / Horticulture / Genetics & Plant Breeding / Seed Science & Technology / Biotechnology / allied disciplines of Life Sciences. Desirable: Experience in phenotyping of germplasm, screening techniques for biotic stress tolerance, molecular breeding, and statistical data handling. Remuneration: ₹42,000/- per month consolidated. Age: 21 to 45 years.
• Project Scope & Tenure: Under 'National Mission on High Yielding Seeds (NMHYS): Bottle gourd component (Project Code: 12-289K)' in the Division of Vegetable Science, ICAR-IARI. Contractual initially up to 31st March 2027, extendable based on performance and fund availability.

• SRF: Maximum 35 years.
• YP-II: Minimum 21 years and Maximum 45 years.
Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Women and 3 years for OBC candidates as per ICAR norms.
