Educational & Research Qualifications:
• Essential Qualification: Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, Management, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, or relevant field from a recognized University / Institution.
• Research Experience: 2 to 5 years of significant research experience in academic literature review, survey development, longitudinal data collection, and statistical analysis.
• Desirable Qualification: Master's in Human Resource (HR) or Ph.D. in a relevant social science / management discipline.
• Key Competencies: Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis tools (SPSS, R, STATA, NVivo) and willingness to travel for fieldwork.

The selection process comprises:

Rigorous empirical social science and management research at the Organizational Behavior & Human Resource Management (OB/HRM) area of IIM Amritsar. The project, titled 'Migration, Networks and Employability', studies first-generation graduates from rural India transitioning into competitive urban labor markets. Core duties involve extensive academic literature synthesis on internal migration, career inaction, and graduate employability; designing and psychometrically validating survey questionnaires; developing social-network metrics; coordinating longitudinal panel data collection; scheduling and transcribing in-depth semi-structured qualitative interviews; and conducting econometric data cleaning and statistical modeling using R, SPSS, STATA, or Python. Candidates must be willing to travel to designated urban economic clusters for fieldwork and participant tracking. Standard academic institute working hours with high publication orientation.
