Educational Qualification

Research Associate: Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Thermal / Mechanical / Energy / Chemical with min 75% marks at UG/PG level, preferably with research experience in Chemical Kinetics, Combustion Simulation, and GFR/GeM procurement.

JRF/SRF: M.Tech in Thermal / Mechanical / Energy / Chemical with min 75% marks at B.Tech and M.Tech level, with experience in Chemical Kinetics/Combustion Simulation and NET/GATE. (NET/GATE relaxed for CFTI graduates with CGPA > 8.00 / 80%).

Jr. Project Assistant (Tech.): B.Tech / Diploma in Thermal / Mechanical / Energy / Chemical or M.Sc in Chemistry / Chemical / Physics with min 75% marks, preferably with R&D project experience.

5% marks relaxation granted to SC/ST candidates.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age limits follow DST / IIT Delhi IRD research project guidelines. Standard relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/PwD and female applicants as per Government of India rules.

Project appointments at IIT Delhi provide world-class exposure within premier laboratories in the Department of Energy Science & Engineering. Appointees collaborate closely with NTPC Thermal Power Plants across the National Capital Region (NCR) for biomass sampling and flue gas desulfurization (FGD) testing. Project fellows are actively encouraged to apply and register for the regular Ph.D. program at IIT Delhi in accordance with institute ordinances.
