Educational Qualification

M.Tech./M.E. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Nanoscience and Engineering, Nanotechnology, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent with first division; OR Post Graduate degree in Physics, Chemistry, or Materials Science with first division and a valid NET/GATE certificate. Candidates completing M.Tech in the current academic year are also eligible.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Preferably 29 years as on application deadline. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates is admissible.

The JRF position is hosted in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science (MEMS) at IIT Indore under an Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC) sponsored WISER project. Work involves experimental reduction of low-grade iron ores using hydrogen, phase/microstructure characterization via XRD/SEM/TEM, thermodynamic and kinetic modeling, and laboratory trials for carbon-neutral steelmaking.
