The position is based in the Department of Paediatrics at JIPMER Puducherry (an Institute of National Importance under MoHFW, Govt. of India) for the ICMR-funded ESCHAR Trial ('Efficacy in Scrub typhus of Combination therapy in Children versus Azithromycin or Doxycycline monotherapy: a double-blind Randomized control trial'). The Project Research Scientist coordinates clinical trial operations, patient recruitment, informed consent from parents/guardians, investigational antibiotic administration, patient monitoring, biological sample processing (RT-PCR for Orientia tsutsugamushi), and maintaining electronic databases.
