Educational Qualification

Director (CDOE): Master's degree with First or Higher Second Class in Education, Distance Education, Social Science, or Languages, Ph.D. degree, NET/SET qualification, minimum 10 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, research score of at least 120 (as per Maharashtra GR dated 08/03/2019), and at least 10 years of teaching/research experience with evidence of successfully guided Ph.D. candidates. Desirable: PG Degree/Diploma in Distance Education.
Temporary Assistant Professor: Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD) in Defence & Strategic Studies or History, and cleared UGC/CSIR NET or Maharashtra SET, or hold a Ph.D. degree as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016. Desirable: PG Degree/Diploma or experience in Distance Education, and knowledge of Marathi.

The posts of Director (Contract) and Temporary Assistant Professors (Contract) are self-supporting, non-grant contractual appointments. Faculty members are tasked with curriculum design, developing Self-Learning Materials (SLMs), delivering e-content through LMS, evaluating assignments, and coordinating weekend contact sessions and student support services. Director manages distance education administration, liaison with UGC-DEB, and compliance audits. Working culture is academic yet administrative, requiring strong proficiency in instructional technologies, LMS platforms, and bilingual communication (Marathi and English).
