MHA I4C Deputy Director Recruitment 2026

Eligibility and qualifications for Deputy Director on Deputation (including short-term contract) at I4C, Ministry of Home Affairs:

• Cadre Eligibility: Officers under Central / State Governments / Union Territories / Autonomous or Statutory Organisations / PSUs / Universities / Recognised Research Institutions:
  • (i) Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre or department; OR
  • (ii) With 5 years regular service in Level-10 (₹56,100 - ₹1,77,500); OR
  • (iii) With 7 years regular service in Level-9 (₹53,100 - ₹1,67,800); OR
  • (iv) With 8 years regular service in Level-8 (₹47,600 - ₹1,51,100).
• Essential Qualifications:
  • a) Bachelor's Degree in any stream from a recognised university or institute.
  • b) 5 years' experience in establishment, administration, procurement, finance, or vigilance, including at least 2 years' experience in Cybercrime, Cyber threat analysis, Internal Security, e-Governance, Public Policy, ICT, Cybercrime Investigation, Forensics, Training in Cybercrime/Internal Security, or Cyber Research.
• Desirable Qualification: Master's Degree in Computer Applications (MCA) or M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT) or B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics / ECE / ETE / CSE / CS / Computer Technology / IT from a recognised university.

The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation (including short-term contract) shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receiving applications.

1. Download the prescribed Bio-data / Curriculum Vitae proforma (Annexure-II) from the Ministry of Home Affairs website.
2. Complete the application form in duplicate, attaching self-attested copies of educational qualifications and supporting documentary evidence of domain experience.
3. Submit the completed application through the proper channel (Cadre Controlling Authority / Employer).
4. The forwarding authority must furnish: (a) Cadre Clearance, (b) Vigilance Clearance certifying no disciplinary case is pending/contemplated, (c) Integrity Certificate, (d) Complete and up-to-date attested photocopies of ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years (with rubber stamp on every page by an officer not below Under Secretary rank), and (e) Statement of major/minor penalties imposed during the last 10 years.
