Educational Qualification

Assistant Professor: Master's Degree with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD) in the concerned/allied subject, along with UGC/CSIR NET or MP SLET/SET qualification, or Ph.D. degree awarded under UGC Regulations 2009/2016.
Associate Professor: Ph.D. degree in relevant subject, Master's degree with at least 55% marks, minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience in university/college, and at least 7 publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals with minimum 75 research score.
Professor: Ph.D. degree in relevant discipline, minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience in university/college with evidence of doctoral supervision, and at least 10 publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals with minimum 120 research score.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age limit is governed by UGC Regulations and Madhya Pradesh State Higher Education Department rules. Candidate must be below 65 years of age (the age of superannuation). Candidates having more than two living children born after 26-01-2006 are not eligible.

Selection is conducted in accordance with UGC Regulations 2018 and MP State Government guidelines. Candidates for the post of Assistant Professor are shortlisted on the basis of a 100-mark Academic Record score (Graduation, Post-Graduation, Ph.D., NET/JRF/SLET, Publications, Teaching Experience, Awards) as specified in Annexure-III. Candidates for Associate Professor and Professor are screened based on the Academic and Research Score (ARS) matrix under Annexure-IV. Shortlisted candidates are invited for a personal interview and pedagogical/research presentation before the University Selection Committee. Final merit is determined strictly based on performance in the personal interview.

Faculty members are responsible for designing self-learning print materials (SLM), developing e-content and MOOCs for the SWAYAM portal, organizing student counseling and contact classes, supervising doctoral dissertations, and overseeing term-end university examinations.
