NHAI Recruitment 2026 – Apply Online for 05 Manager (Legal) & Senior Librarian Posts

Cadre-wise qualifications, experience, and parent cadre feeder grades:
• Manager (Legal - 04 Posts): Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized University or Institute, with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience in law related to contractual matters, arbitration, legislative drafting, or highway land acquisition (RFCTLARR Act 2013). Desirable: Degree in Civil Engineering in addition to Law.
• Senior Librarian & Information Officer (01 Post): Master's Degree in Library Science (M.Lib.Sc. / M.L.I.Sc.) from a recognized University, with minimum 5 years' professional library management experience in a Central/State Government, Autonomous Body, PSU, or University library.
• Feeder Grades (Deputation from Central/State Govt., PSUs, Autonomous Bodies):
  - For Manager (Legal): Holding analogous post in Level 11 (₹67,700–₹2,08,700); OR 5 years' regular service in Level 10 (₹56,100–₹1,77,500); OR 8 years' regular service in Level 8 (₹47,600–₹1,51,100) or equivalent IDA scales.
  - For Senior Librarian: Holding analogous post in Level 11; OR 8 years' regular service in Level 7 (₹44,900–₹1,42,400) or higher.

Maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of online application (24.09.2026). Candidates must have more than 2 years of remaining service before superannuation in their parent cadre.

2. Navigate to 'About Us' → 'Vacancies' → 'Current'.
3. Click on the relevant Recruitment advertisement and then select 'Online application'.
4. Create a new registration by providing User ID, password, name, phone number, email ID, and optionally Aadhar card number.
5. Log in using the created user ID and password.
6. Select the post you wish to apply for and fill the complete online application form. All fields are mandatory.
7. Enter your date of birth and retirement age.
8. Upload scanned copies of a colour passport size photograph, digital signature, essential educational/professional qualification(s), and promotion/appointment order(s). Files must be in 'jpg', 'jpeg', 'png', 'gif', or 'pdf' format and not exceed 1 MB.
9. Add all educational and experience details as required.
10. Use the 'preview' button to verify all entered information before final submission.
11. After ensuring all details are correct, click 'Final Submit'.
12. Upon submission, a reference number will be generated, and you will have the option to download the application form.

A duly filled-in print-out of the ONLINE application, forwarded by the applicant's parent department along with the prescribed 'Verification Certificate' and attested photocopies of APARs/ACRs for the last five years, must reach the following address on or before 23.10.2026 (6:00 PM):

The parent department must also enclose attested copies of Annual Confidential Reports / Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (or gist) for the last five years, a vigilance clearance certificate (no penalty in last ten years), an integrity certificate, and a no penalty certificate. They must also certify the accuracy of the applicant's details regarding educational/professional qualification(s), experience, and pay particulars as per service records.
