• Essential Degree: Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized University, National Law School (NLU), or Institute.
• National Entrance Test: Valid Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 (Post Graduate) Score.
• Experience: Zero years required (Fresh law graduates with valid CLAT PG 2026 score are eligible).
• Deployment: Land Acquisition (LA) Division at NHAI Headquarters, New Delhi.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Candidates should be below 32 years of age as on the closing date of online applications (08.09.2026).
• Age relaxations: 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer); 10 years for PwBD (General); 13 years for PwBD (OBC-NCL); applicable as per Government of India rules.

The selection process comprises:
1. Online Registration: Candidates must register and submit their online application on the NHAI website (https://www.nhai.gov.in) by 08.09.2026 (6:00 PM), uploading their Law degree certificate and CLAT (PG) 2026 scorecard.
2. Merit Ranking: Selection is formulated strictly on the basis of merit in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 (Post Graduate) Score. There is zero written test and zero interview.
3. Tie-Breaking Rule: In case of identical CLAT (PG) scores, candidates born earlier will be ranked higher. If DOB is also identical, alphabetical order of the first name in English will determine merit.
4. Sub-Judice Outcome: Selection is subject to the final outcome of SLP(C) No. 33251/2025 ('NHAI vs. Shanu Baghel & Another') before the Supreme Court.
