Educational Qualification

Post-wise eligibility criteria under ICMR Extramural Project:

  • Research Scientist-II (Scientist C): First Class M.Sc. with Ph.D. in Life Sciences (Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Biotechnology) plus minimum 1 year post-doctoral research experience. Desirable: Demonstrable experience in PCR/qPCR, NGS (Transcriptome, Sanger, Whole Exome Sequencing), Western blot, ELISA, Flow cytometry, Linux/Python/R biostatistics tools, and indexed publications.
  • Project Technical Support-II: B.Sc. in Life Sciences or B.Sc. MLT with 2 years clinical laboratory experience. Desirable: Sample handling, diagnostics, SOP adherence, and MS Office data entry.
  • Project Technical Support-III: 3-year Graduate Degree in Life Sciences with 3 years post-qualification experience, OR Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences. Desirable: Clinical trial technical activities, nucleic acid extraction, NGS processing, and clinical data management.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age criteria are governed by ICMR extramural project norms (typically up to 40 years for Scientist-C/Research Scientist-II, 35 years for Project Technical Support-III, and 30 years for Project Technical Support-II). Relaxations apply for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates per Government of India guidelines.
