Educational Qualification

Project Assistant-II: B.Sc. or 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology.
Project Associate-I: Master's in Science (Physics/Chemistry/Nanoscience/Biotechnology) OR B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, Chemical, Production, or Biomedical Engineering.
Project Associate-II: Master's in Science or B.E./B.Tech with 2 years of R&D experience, OR M.E./M.Tech.
Senior Project Associate: M.Sc. with 3 years R&D experience, OR M.E./M.Tech in Materials Science with 2 years experience, OR Ph.D. in Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Upper age limit is 40 years for Senior Project Associate and 35 years for Project Associate-I, Project Associate-II, and Project Assistant-II. Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PH/Women and 3 years for OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.

The positions are purely temporary and contractual, initially co-terminus with project phases (ranging up to 31.03.2028 or 31.03.2031) subject to annual performance reviews and continued grant disbursement. Contractual staff have no claim to regular absorption in CSIR.

Outstanding performance and published research also facilitate registration for Ph.D. degrees under AcSIR (Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research).
