Educational Qualification

First-class B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Electronic Engineering, Printing Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Pulp and Paper Technology from a recognized University. Eligible candidates must be officers/executives in Government, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies, or Statutory Bodies holding an analogous post in Pay Level 14 (7th CPC) or IDA scale of ₹1,20,000–2,80,000/-; OR Officers with 3 years regular service in Pay Level 13 (7th CPC); OR PSU executives with 20 years post-qualification experience including 2 years regular service at E-7 level in IDA scale of ₹1,00,000–2,60,000/-.

SPMCIL is a Schedule 'A' Mini-ratna Category-I CPSE under the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, responsible for sovereign currency note printing, security paper manufacturing, coin minting, and travel document production. As Chief General Manager (E-8 level), the executive serves as Unit Head or Technical Head, directly commanding premier production facilities such as the India Government Mints (Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Noida), Currency Note Presses (Nashik, Dewas), India Security Press, or the Security Paper Mill at Narmadapuram. The work environment demands stringent operational efficiency, achieving annual production targets outlined in government MOUs, managing multi-thousand industrial workforces, and enforcing apex physical and cyber security protocols.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Appointment is on a deputation basis initially for a period of 3 years, extendable in accordance with Government of India (DoPT/DPE) deputation guidelines.
