Essential Qualifications:
1. Graduate in any discipline from a recognized Indian university.
2. Excellent communication skill in Assamese, English and Hindi.
3. Retired female police / army / paramilitary officer of not below the rank of Sub Inspector (SI) / J.C.O. of Assam Police Battalion / Railway Protection Force (RPF) / Armed Forces / Paramilitary Forces, etc.
4. Minimum 3 years' experience of working in Security Service in Govt. / Semi Govt. / PSU / autonomous organization / large Industrial Units of repute (experience in educational institutions is preferable).

Age Limit & Relaxations

Maximum 62 years as on the last date of application submission (20.10.2026). 5 years age relaxation for candidates with experience in reputed Higher Educational Institutes. If no suitable candidate is found, candidates of higher age with good health may be considered up to an engagement ceiling of 65 years.

The Female Security Supervisor functions as second-in-line under the Security Officer at the residential Napaam campus of Tezpur University (spanning 262 acres in Sonitpur district, Assam). Key operational duties include stationing on campus, supervising contractual security guards, ensuring 24/7 safety across girls' hostels, academic blocks, and faculty quarters, scrutinizing outsider entry, and coordinating with Sonitpur District Police during law-and-order or fire emergencies. The position comes with mandatory on-campus housing to ensure immediate incident response.
