The Medical Officer in AIAHL's Medical Cell manages the post-disinvestment healthcare scheme for thousands of permanent retired employees of Air India and its erstwhile subsidiaries (AIESL, AIASL, HCI). Duties include post-transaction scrutiny and verification of cashless hospitalization claims against CGHS package rates, resolving billing discrepancies with UTIITSL and network empaneled hospitals, handling emergency admission endorsements, reviewing prolonged inpatient stays, taking up unlisted medical procedures with CGHS authorities for special financial sanctions, and offering in-house clinical guidance to AIAHL staff.
