MH-ESIS Thane Recruitment 2026 – Walk-in for 8 Contractual Medical Officer Posts

Contractual Medical Officers operate across MH-ESIS Service Dispensaries located in industrial belts of Thane and Raigad districts (Pen, Patalganga, Tala, Mangaon, Bhiwandi, and Mahad) under the Administrative Medical Officer, Thane. Doctors manage daily outpatient departments (OPD) during standard dispensary hours (09:30 AM to 05:30 PM), providing primary health care, diagnostic triage, basic emergency management, and chronic disease treatment to insured factory workers (IPs) and their families. Additional duties include verifying sick leave certificates, supervising pharmacy stock and essential drug dispensing, coordinating occupational health check-ups, and managing secondary/tertiary referrals to ESIC Model Hospitals (e.g., Andheri, Mulund) and empaneled private hospitals. The generous age limit of up to 69 years creates an environment suitable for retired government/defence medical officers as well as younger MBBS graduates seeking comprehensive primary care clinical exposure.

Stationed at designated MH-ESIS Service Dispensaries across Thane and Raigad districts (Pen, Patalganga, Tala, Mangaon, Bhiwandi, or Mahad). The appointment is purely on a contractual basis for an initial term of one (01) year, or until regular incumbents appointed through Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) join, whichever is earlier. Appointees must sign an agreement on a ₹100/- stamp paper prior to joining.

Paid a fixed monthly consolidated remuneration of ₹75,000/- per month. As a contractual dispensary post, there is no departmental promotion or absorption into the permanent Maharashtra Medical & Health Services (MM&HS) cadre. However, contractual service with MH-ESIS provides verified government clinical experience certificates, institutional familiarity with social security healthcare, and valuable credit when appearing for regular MPSC Medical Officer examinations or public health fellowships.
