Chandigarh Engineering Department Recruitment 2026 – Apply for 10 Junior Engineer Posts

Candidates must possess a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Degree in Civil Engineering (or Public Health Engineering for Public Health posts) from a recognized University or Institute. In addition, candidates must be regular employees serving under Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Semi-Government, or Autonomous/Statutory organizations holding analogous posts of Junior Engineer on a regular basis in the grade.

The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications (08.10.2026) as per standard DoPT / Government of India deputation guidelines.

1. Download the official Vacancy Circular and Curriculum Vitae Proforma (Annexure-I & II) from the Chandigarh Administration portal at chandigarh.gov.in.
2. Fill out the prescribed Bio-Data proforma (Annexure-I) in block letters, detailing educational qualifications, substantive posts held, pay scale, nature of duties, and relevant civil/public health engineering experience.
3. Attach attested photocopies of supporting certificates for educational qualifications and experience claimed.
4. Submit the application through the Cadre Controlling Authority / Parent Department, accompanied by: (a) Attested photocopies of ACRs/APARs for the preceding five years, (b) Vigilance Clearance Certificate, (c) Integrity Certificate, and (d) Major/Minor Penalties statement for the last 10 years (Annexure-II).
5. Forward the completed dossier through proper channel to: Office of the Chief Engineer, Engineering Department, Union Territory, Chandigarh, 1st Floor, Deluxe Building (Old U.T. Secretariat), Sector-9-D, Chandigarh - 160009, so as to reach latest by 08 October 2026. Incomplete applications or those received without 5 years' ACRs will be rejected forthwith.
