Educational Qualification

Executive Posts (CGM / GM / AGM / JGM / Sr. DGM / DGM / Manager / Assistant Manager): B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a Government-recognized University / Institute with relevant post-qualification experience (5 to 23 years depending on the grade) in construction of metro, railways, viaducts, bridges, underground stations, tunnels using TBM, or multi-storied buildings.
Engineer (Sr. Grade / Jr. Grade): B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in viaducts, bridges, segment casting yards, or launching girders.
Draftsman & Surveyor (Civil): 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 3 years of experience in AutoCAD / designing or field surveying of large infrastructure/railway/metro projects.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Age limits reckoned as on 19th September 2026: Draftsman/Surveyor: Max 28 years; Engineer (Sr./Jr. Grade): Max 32 years; Assistant Manager: Max 35 years; Manager: Max 40 years; DGM: Max 45 years; Sr. DGM: Max 48 years; JGM: Max 50 years; AGM: Max 53 years; CGM/GM: Max 57 years (contract/deputation). Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) Limited is a prestigious 50:50 joint venture SPV between the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat, executing flagship mass rapid transit networks including Ahmedabad Metro Phase-I, Phase-II (Gandhinagar extension), and Surat Metro Phase-I. The work culture in GMRC's Civil engineering division is fast-paced, high-accountability, and deadline-driven, centered on site execution, contractor supervision, TBM tunnel drives, elevated viaduct launching, and station civil works. Officers and site engineers coordinate with EPC contractors (such as L&T, Afcons, Dilip Buildcon), general consultants (GCs), and municipal authorities. Standard working hours are 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with site engineers and managers frequently required to supervise night-time girder launches, traffic block work, and weekend concrete casting.
