Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a B.Com / BBA / BBS (minimum 60% marks) from a recognized University/College along with CA (Inter) / ICWA (Inter) / CS (Inter) and at least 1 year of experience in the relevant financial/accounting field; OR B.Com / BBA / BBS (minimum 60% marks) with an MBA (Finance) or equivalent (minimum 60% marks) from a recognized Institute with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

ICAR-National Research Centre on Pig (NRCP) is an autonomous central research institute under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, located at Rani, Kamrup (Rural), Guwahati, Assam. The Young Professional II (YP-II) working under the All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) Rani Unit supports the Principal Investigator (PI) and administrative/accounts wing in managing project financial ledgers, tracking sanctioned grant allocations, preparing Utilisation Certificates (UCs) and Statements of Expenditure (SOEs), coordinating public financial management via PFMS and GeM, assisting in auditing and procurement, and coordinating field visits with beneficiary farmers and piggery entrepreneurs across the northeastern region. The institute campus environment is research-focused, orderly, and academic.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Purely temporary and contractual for the duration of the AICRP Rani Unit project scheme or as per institute need, subject to periodic performance reviews. Headquartered at ICAR-NRCP, Rani, Guwahati – 781131, Assam. Field travel to project demonstration sites and entrepreneur clusters may be required. One month's advance notice (or forfeiture of one month's salary) is required to resign before contract completion.

However, 1–2 years of hands-on experience handling central government grants, AICRP project budgeting, PFMS, and agricultural research administration offers substantial competitive advantage for permanent Finance & Accounts Officer (FAO), Assistant Finance Officer (AFO), or Administrative Officer posts in ICAR, CAUs, SAUs, CSIR labs, and autonomous research bodies.
