Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Virology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Infectious Diseases, or a related discipline.

Experience & Competencies: Relevant professional experience at the international level in virology research and collaborative programmes addressing infectious diseases and virological outbreaks. Proven ability in developing an internationally competitive research programme, securing competitive research grant funding, and working in Biological Safety Level 3 (BSL3) facilities. Strong scientific communication and technical writing skills; experience with international organizations or low-resource settings is desirable.

Languages: Fluency in English is essential.
