Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification: Two-year full-time Postgraduate Degree in Management (MBA) or Postgraduate Diploma (PGDM/PGDBM) in Human Resources or related disciplines such as Marketing, HRM, Corporate Communication, etc., from a recognized University/Institution.
Desirable Qualification & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology (CSE/IT/ECE and allied areas) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University/Institution and at least 3 years of working experience in the Training & Placement Cell of a reputed Academic Institution.
Note: Candidates evaluated on CGPA/SGPA must provide a certified Percentage Conversion Certificate from the degree-granting institution.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Candidate must not be more than 45 years of age as on the last date of application (20th October 2026). Age relaxation applies as per Government of India guidelines for reserved categories.

The Training and Placement Officer (TPO) at IIIT Bhopal spearheads the institute's career development cell, operating out of the transit campus at MANIT Bhopal. The role involves continuous corporate outreach, organizing campus placement and internship drives, mapping curriculum skillsets to tech industry requirements, and guiding UG/PG students in CSE, IT, ECE, Mathematics & Computing, and MCA programs. The position requires flexible working hours, including weekends and late evenings during the active placement cycle (August to December).

The appointment is purely on a contract basis initially for 11 months or until further orders. Contract tenure may be extended with a mandatory break-in-service of 1 working day, based on individual performance and functional requirements of the institute.
