Educational Qualification

Educational qualifications by cadre:

  • Junior Technician (Level 3): B.E. / B.Tech. in relevant engineering branch, B.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry with 55% marks (no experience required); OR 3-year Diploma in Engineering with 55% marks plus 1 year relevant experience.
  • Junior Superintendent (Level 6): Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with 55% marks plus 3 years experience at Level 5 or 8 years at Level 3 in Government/PSU/Autonomous bodies.
  • Junior Library Assistant (Level 3): Bachelor's Degree in Library and Information Science (B.Lib.I.Sc.) with 55% marks.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil) (Level 6): B.E./B.Tech. in Civil with 2 years experience, OR Diploma in Civil with 3 years experience.
  • Assistant Engineer (Level 8): B.E./B.Tech. with 5 years experience at Level 6, OR Diploma with 8 years experience at Level 6.
  • Junior Translation Officer (Level 6): Bachelor's degree in Hindi with 3 years translation experience.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory across all posts.

Age Limit & Relaxations

  • Junior Technician (Groups I–V): 27 Years
  • Junior Library Assistant: 30 Years

  • The online portal will be open from 25.08.2026 to 24.09.2026 (till 05:00 PM).
  • After successful online submission, candidates must take a printout of the application form.
  • The printout, along with all relevant self-attested supporting documents, must be sent in a sealed envelope by Speed Post to The Registrar, IIT (BHU), Varanasi – 221005.
  • The sealed envelope must be superscribed with the application form number, advertisement number, and the name and code of the post applied for.
