Essential qualifications for Primary Teacher (PRT):

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed), OR 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.), OR 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.).
• Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET Paper-1) conducted by the Government of India / CBSE.
• Competence to teach through Hindi and English media.
• Desirable: Knowledge of computer applications.

Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is up to 65 years as per standard Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) contractual appointment norms.

1. Visit the official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Ropar (https://kviitropar.kvs.ac.in).
2. Download the Walk-in Interview notification and verify your eligibility against the KVS PRT criteria (50% in +2, D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed / B.Ed, and CTET Paper-1 qualified).
3. Assemble original academic and professional credentials (10th, 12th, D.El.Ed/B.Ed, CTET Paper-1 marksheet and certificate) along with one self-attested photocopy of each.
4. Carry a recent passport-sized color photograph and a valid government photo ID card (such as Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport).
5. Report directly to the venue on 28 September 2026 (Monday) at 09:00 AM at: Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Ropar Campus, Rupnagar (Ropar), Punjab - 140001.
