PILBS Mohali Faculty & SR Recruitment 2026

1. Professor: DM/M.Ch./DNB in relevant super-specialty or MD/MS with 11 to 14 years teaching/research experience in a recognized medical teaching institution and requisite first/corresponding author peer-reviewed indexed publications.

2. Associate Professor: DM/M.Ch./DNB or MD/MS with 6 to 8 years teaching/research experience (including minimum 3 years as Assistant Professor) and at least 3 original published research papers in indexed journals.

3. Assistant Professor: DM/M.Ch./DNB or MD/MS with 3 years Senior Residency / teaching experience and at least 2 original published papers in peer-reviewed indexed journals.

4. Senior Resident: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned specialty from an NMC-recognized institution.

5. Emergency Medical Officer (EMO): MD Medicine / MS General Surgery from an NMC-recognized medical college.

Mandatory Requirement: Proof of Punjabi language passed up to Matriculation standard or equivalent is required per Punjab Civil Services rules.

Upper Age Limit (as on date of interview):

• Professor: Maximum 70 Years
• Associate Professor: Maximum 55 Years
• Assistant Professor: Maximum 50 Years
• Senior Resident / EMO: Maximum 45 Years

Age relaxations for SC/BC and women candidates apply as per Punjab Government rules.

1. Download the official application proforma from pilbs.punjab.gov.in or extract it from Public Notice No./PILBS/2026/8870.
2. Complete all sections of the application form including personal details, academic qualifications (MBBS, MD/MS, DM/M.Ch.), teaching experience, details of indexed research publications, and proof of passing Punjabi up to Matric level.
3. Attach scanned copies of all essential documents: Date of Birth proof, Matriculation certificate, MBBS & PG/Super-specialty degree certificates, NMC/State Medical Council registration certificate, teaching experience certificates, publications proof, NOC from present employer (if applicable), and Category certificate.
4. Email the duly filled application form and scanned attachments to [email protected] on or before 13th October, 2026.
5. Attend the Walk-in Registration and Interview on 16th October, 2026 (Registration & screening starts at 12:00 PM; Interview from 1:00 PM) at: Punjab Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (PILBS), Sector 60 (Phase 3B1), SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab along with original certificates and two sets of self-attested photocopies.
