Punjabi University Patiala Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 01 Law Officer Post

Essential Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) or Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M.) from a recognized University.
Bar Council Registration: Must be registered with the Bar Council of India (BCI).
Professional Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience handling legal matters, preferably service disputes and litigation relating to educational institutions.
Eligible Backgrounds: Serving or retired Law Officer / Retired Judge / District Attorney / Additional District Attorney from Central / State Government, Senior Judiciary Service, or Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). No disciplinary proceedings should be pending.
Language Requirement: Must have passed Punjabi at Matriculation (10th standard) or equivalent level as per Punjab Government / University regulations.

Upper age limit is less than 62 years as on the last date of receipt of applications (05.10.2026).

1. Visit the official Punjabi University portal at punjabiuniversity.ac.in and download the prescribed application form for non-teaching posts.
2. Alternatively, obtain the application form in person for ₹100/- from the University Enquiry & Information Centre (Main Gate) or request it by post by sending a Demand Draft of ₹100/- in favour of Registrar, Punjabi University, Patiala along with a 25×10 cm envelope affixed with ₹65/- stamps.
3. Fill out the application form legibly with personal information, academic credentials, Bar Council registration details, and chronological judicial/government legal career records.
4. Attach a Demand Draft of ₹100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, Punjabi University, Patiala (if using the downloaded form).
5. Enclose self-attested photocopies of all supporting documents: proof of date of birth (10th certificate with Punjabi subject), LL.B./LL.M. degree certificates and mark sheets, Bar Council registration certificate, service/retirement orders (or PPO copy), vigilance clearance certifying no disciplinary proceedings, and detailed experience certificates.
6. Enclose two self-addressed envelopes of size 9×4 inches, each affixed with ₹65/- postage stamps.
7. Submit the completed application dossier in person or send by Registered / Speed Post to: Office of the Deputy Registrar (Personnel / Amla), Punjabi University, Patiala – 147002, Punjab.
8. The physical application packet must reach the Deputy Registrar's office on or before 05.10.2026. Late or incomplete applications will be rejected.
