Educational Qualification

Project Research Scientist II (Medical) (01 Post): MBBS / BVSc / BDS with 3 years post-qualification experience, OR MBBS / BVSc / BDS + Post Graduate Degree (MD / MVSc / MDS / MPH), OR MBBS / BVSc / BDS with PhD. Desirable: 1 year experience in community-based health research projects.
Project Research Scientist I (Medical) (01 Post): MBBS / BVSc / BDS or equivalent degree. Desirable: 1 year experience in community-based health research projects OR MPH degree.
Project Technical Support III (03 Posts): Three-year graduate degree in Medical Social Work (Community Development / Social Welfare / Medical) or B.Sc. (Community Health or Life Sciences) + 3 years experience in community-based research, OR Post Graduate degree in Medical Social Work / MPH. Desirable: 1 year experience in community-based health research projects OR MPH degree.

Age Limit & Relaxations

Maximum age limit is 40 years for Project Research Scientist II (Medical), and 35 years for Project Research Scientist I (Medical) and Project Technical Support III as on the last date of application (30.09.2026). Age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST, up to 3 years for OBC, and up to 5 years for candidates with experience in Government Research Organizations.

AIIMS Nagpur is an apex healthcare Institute of National Importance located at MIHAN, Nagpur. The IMPACT-NCD project is an ICMR-funded community-based implementation research study under the Department of Community Medicine and Family Medicine (CFM), led by Principal Investigator Dr. Sujiv Akkilagunta. Project Research Scientists and Technical Support staff work on multisectoral promotion of physical activity and community nutrition across Nagpur district. The role involves a blend of academic research, community interaction across rural and urban Nagpur, stakeholder coordination with district health authorities, qualitative assessments, data management, and report writing. Working hours generally adhere to institutional norms (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM), with extensive field visits across Nagpur district.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Stationed at AIIMS Nagpur, MIHAN campus, with designated field assignments across rural and urban clusters of Nagpur district, Maharashtra.
