Educational Qualification

• Director (Pay Level 13): Officer of Organized Group A Services of Central Govt holding analogous posts on regular basis or with 5 years regular service in Pay Level 12; OR General Manager/Secretary of APEDA with 5 years regular service.
• Secretary (Pay Level 12): Officer of Organized Group A Services holding analogous posts or 5 years in Pay Level 11; OR Deputy General Manager of APEDA with 5 years regular service.
• General Manager (Pay Level 12) & Deputy General Manager (Pay Level 11): Officers of Central/State Govt, UTs, PSUs, Universities, or Autonomous Bodies holding analogous posts or required regular service in feeder grade (5 years in Level 11 for GM, 5 years in Level 10 for DGM). Must possess Post Graduate Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Technology, International Business, MBA (Finance), or CA from ICAI, plus 5 years relevant experience.

Age Limit & Relaxations

The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation basis shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Initial deputation tenure is two years, extendable on a year-to-year basis up to a maximum continuous period of five years. Deputation appointments are based at APEDA Headquarters in New Delhi, with oversight of national export initiatives.

Deputation appointments do not grant direct promotion or absorption into APEDA permanent cadre. Selected officers have the option to draw parent cadre pay plus deputation (duty) allowance or pay fixed in the level of the post as per DoPT O.M. No. 2/12/87-Estt (Pay II) dated 29.04.1988 as amended.
