Contractual Staff Nurses under the District Health Society, Thanjavur are deployed across Upgraded Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), Government Medical College Hospital Thanjavur, Taluk Government Hospitals (including Kumbakonam and Pattukkottai), and Urban Primary Health Centres. Duties include round-the-clock shift nursing, maternal and newborn healthcare (ANC/PNC checkups, normal deliveries, immunization), emergency triage, non-communicable disease (NCD) screening, and managing clinical registers.
