As a Principal Project Scientist under the R D Tata Trust funded project 'Support to IIT Delhi for Enhancing India's Science Technology Policy Analysis Capabilities' (RP04981N) supervised by Prof. Ambuj D. Sagar, the appointee will engage in high-level strategic research on climate policy, sustainability transitions, and low-carbon development. Work involves writing high-impact academic publications, formulating policy briefs, engaging with government ministries and international climate policy entities, and mentoring junior project fellows. The culture is scholarly, collaborative, and policy-driven.

Posting & Transfer Policy

Initial posting criteria, zone preferences, transfer liability.

The appointment is purely on a contractual basis, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project (scheduled up to February 28, 2030), whichever is earlier. The duty station is the IIT Delhi Hauz Khas campus in New Delhi. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required for policy conventions, stakeholder consultations, and academic conferences.

Career & Promotion Ladder
