ACTREC (Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer) in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai is the premier cancer R&D and specialized treatment facility of Tata Memorial Centre, an autonomous Grant-In-Aid institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. As a Senior Resident in Medical Oncology, the daily routine involves comprehensive inpatient ward management, administering advanced chemotherapeutic and biological regimens, evaluating outpatient consultations, managing acute oncological emergencies (neutropenic sepsis, hypercalcemia, cord compression), and collaborating in multi-disciplinary tumor boards.

The appointment is purely on a contractual residency basis with tenure running up to 31 July 2027. Immediate joining is required. The posting is based entirely at ACTREC Campus, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. On-campus hostel accommodation is available subject to availability. This temporary engagement confers no lien, right, or entitlement toward permanent absorption at Tata Memorial Centre.

Completion of Senior Residency in Medical Oncology at an apex cancer institute like TMC ACTREC provides critical clinical training, fulfilling eligibility criteria for DM/DrNB Medical Oncology superspecialty entrance examinations, national cancer centre faculty positions, and specialist consultant roles.

  • Resignation and Notice Period: Residents are permitted to resign only after completing a minimum of 5 months of active service, provided they serve a mandatory 1-month notice period (total 6 months completed service) to be eligible for deposit refund. Leaving without serving the notice period will result in forfeiture of 30 days salary.
